Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the day at Alamance Battleground!
Living history will be presented throughout the day by site interpreter and re-
enactor Shawn McColligan.
At 10:30am, Lisa Cox, Historic Interpreter at Alamance Battleground, will present "The John and Rachel Allen House: Sixty Years of Interpretation at Alamance Battleground." The program will explore the history of the Allen House and include a guided tour of the home and selected Allen family artifacts. This will take place in the Alamance Battleground auditorium in the Visitors Center.
At 2:00pm, Dr Carole W. Troxler, author of "Farming Dissenters: The Regulator Movement in Piedmont North Carolina, will present "Questions about the Hanging of the Regulators and Some Answers." This will take place in the Alamance Battleground auditorium in the Visitors Center.
